Whether this is true or not is explored in this article from November 9th, 2010, based on information from Aldar, Abu Dhabi’s largest real estate developer:

The ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed is 'twittering' under the name 'HHShkMohd'.
He has set up a facebook profile as well.
I think these kind of public activities are part of the international pr creating a new brand Dubai and giving the 'outside' world more 'inside' view.
Something that many politicians nowadays do.
The slogan from Obama has become popular in the gulf region too and inspired one young artist to an artwork! More on the contemporary Midddle Eastern art and collectors scene in the well designed magazine www.canvasonline.com
Look at them and hear them screaming... four old Emirati women, living in modern day Dubai and experiencing amazing adventures. This tale is FREEJ: The award winning 3D animated series, premiered at National TV in Sept. 2006. These women will soon settle in the storytelling park FREEJ DUBAILAND, part of the huge theme and leisure park Dubailand. I love thats all about the power and strenght of women!!! Yes. I learnt more at that day:
I met a gentleman who was offering outdoor advertisements in Iraq. I immediately realized that I still relate Iraq only to (civil) war, destruction and instability. Maybe there was a thought about oil production.
But that there is a lively market place...
yes there is! I gave up my preconception.
this conference and exhibition showed clearly opportunities resulting from the new regulations of AD and Dubai government. I was there with the team of Moviemedia: they filmed the whole conference for the organizer. So I can confirm from our interviews that the exhibitors were very satisfied about new contacts with industry visitors.

Today is Xing networking event at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, in the Octoberfest tent. This time a bit more unusual more celebrating than networking in depth because of the live music. But anyway a good occasion to see friends and business partners after long summer and Ramadan break.

Yes, you are wondering why a Dubai book is connected to an Indian cause. Living in Dubai you mingle a lot with Indians because its the far biggest expat community in Dubai.
So I made very good friends with some Indians. My readers know this from the story about the 'Global Happiness Day' in Dubai, an event organized by my friend KK. Through this we promoted the 'joy of giving'.
Giving, what does it mean to you? Let me know.
